There was a Monty Python song once that went something like, “Finland, Finland, Finland, the country where I want to be…”. I don’t remember the rest, though I have shared the sentiment since I was a teenager. And now, at last I’m here – and I have a week of conferencing ahead of me with the International Partnership Network. I do have to present a paper on Career Academies, but that’s a small price to pay.
Helsinki so far seems to be a mixture of wide streets, pseudo Soviet architecture and lots of water. Our hotel and conference centre are by the water’s edge.
It’s all rather nice.
