There you go. I did see the Matterhorn!
It didn’t snow non stop all week. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty dreadful, with good visibility and flat light the best we could hope for. But the sun shone on Thursday and Friday, allowing us to ski across to Zermatt and to rush down pistes that previously we’d taken very gently, not being able to see our way at all.
It has been a tremendous holiday. Excellent company and superb food. Cervinia in the sunshine is a lovely place to ski. Perfectly groomed pistes as wide as the M1, but considerably emptier. I will certainly be coming back.
