Presenting our findings

We used the analogy of fireflies in the dark as the basis of our presentation, describing each of the community entrepreneurs that we met as a different firefly. Each member of the team presented and we used video footage as well as photographs to illustrate what we’d seen. We ended the presentation with a poem and then lighting candles on each delegate’s table to represent the firelfies that we hoped all of us might become. The presentation was well received by the Princess Royal and by the rest of conference, although, on reflection, (and having heard other people’s presentations) we all felt that we could have been more critical of what we’d seen. (We were up first.)
