Today was the day I did something I thought I’d never get to do. Twenty years ago I eschewed the stage to become a teacher, so dashing any hope of performing at the National Theatre. But today, as part of the UK Career Academy Foundation’s “Capital Experience”, we took over the Olivier stage and auditorium for an afternoon of activities and speakers – presenting to over 800 first year Career Academy students. And one of the speakers was me.
The picture shows our technical rehearsal – including a giant projection of one of my cats on to the set. Sadly, this was not used during the actual event!
