John May CVO OBE DL is Chief Executive of Cats Protection, Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, writer, speaker and trustee. He has spent more than forty years leading charities, supporting young people and championing volunteering in the UK and internationally. He writes regularly about leadership, civil society, community and public life.
